Double Daffodil Popeye
N0269
Description
Double Daffodil ‘Popeye’ produces large fully double flowers in crisp pure white shades surrounding a soft buttery-yellow centre. The beautifully layered blooms of daffodil ‘Popeye’ bring elegance, texture, and gentle spring colour to borders, patio containers, and seasonal planting displays.
Flowering on sturdy stems, this refined variety combines a fresh appearance with reliable garden performance, pairing especially well with pastel tulips, white narcissi, and softer spring planting schemes.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.
A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.
Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.
Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.
Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
