May Flowering Tulip Two Tone Tulip Mixture No.2
T1719
Description
Two Tone 'Tulip Mixture' combines the dramatic colouring of tulip ‘World Expression’ with the rich deep tones of tulip ‘Kingsblood’ to create a vibrant and high-contrast spring display. The blend of glowing yellows, bold reds, and darker crimson shades brings depth, movement, and striking seasonal colour to borders, containers, and mass plantings throughout late spring.
Flowering together in harmonious balance, this eye-catching tulip mixture delivers strong visual impact while maintaining an elegant and coordinated appearance in the garden.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
