Dwarf Cyclamineus Prototype
N0419
Description
Boasting blooms of an unusual, delicate colour combination, Narcissus ‘Prototype’ captivates with its perianth of pale celadon green framing a soft peachy-pink trumpet. A new, enormously appealing version of the ever-popular ‘Minnow’, this fresh, distinctive coloration will make an intriguing and unique addition to your garden.
The gently pleated crown stands proud of the winged, reflexed petals to further demarcate and exhibit the superb colour pairing of these bi-coloured beauties. A far cry from the predictable, ubiquitous yellow daffodil, ‘Prototype’ makes a fascinating, eye-catching feature in container displays, rockeries, borders, and lawns.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.
A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.
Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.
Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.
Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
