May Flowering Tulip World Expression
T1688
Description
May Flowering Tulip ‘World Expression’ produces striking blooms with deep blood-red colouring at the base of each petal, feathering dramatically upward through the primrose-yellow upper sections. The bold contrast and flame-like patterning of tulip ‘World Expression’ create a vivid and highly decorative display in late spring borders and containers.
Long-lasting and carried on strong stems, this eye-catching variety brings warmth, movement, and exceptional garden presence throughout May. A deserved holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it remains a reliable favourite for bold seasonal planting schemes.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.

Multiflowering Blue
H2800
Specially bred to produce multiple stems of loosely set, fragranced floral bells, this Multiflowering Blue Hyacinth is perfect for forcing for indoor pot displays.
Forced bulbs are wonderful for bringing the outdoors indoors, so you may enjoy the splendour and fragrance of multiflowering blue hyacinth's exquisite flowers in early spring, even when the weather is inclement outside.
We recommend potting your bulbs in late autumn, before placing in a cool dark area to produce strong roots and delay flowering. Bring your containers out of storage between 12 and 16 weeks and place them in a warm, bright spot. The stems will grow rapidly, swelling with buds which burst into bloom at 3-4 weeks.
To enhance the natural look, cover the soil surface with moss and use twigs as support if stems require.
de Jager only supplies the highest quality bulbs, making a huge difference in terms of flowering.

Multiflowering Mixed
H2803
Mixed, soft pastel shades of Multiflowering Hyacinths – fabulous for charming, perfumed indoor displays.
The bulbs may be potted up in late autumn, before placing undisturbed in a cool dark room to put down strong roots and delay flowering. Bring your potted bulbs out of storage at 12-16 weeks and place them in a warm, bright spot where they will burst into white, pink and blue blooms after 3-4 weeks.
Forcing bulbs is a popular way to enjoy spring flowers indoors, early in the year when the weather may still feel bleak outside.
To enhance the display, cover the soil surface with a little moss and use natural twigs as support for the flowering hyacinth stems if needed.
