Indoor Flowering Narcissi Erlicheer
N0723
Description
Perhaps the most highly scented of all Narcissus, ‘Erlicheer’ bears a mass of frilly, double florets in shades of ivory and primrose yellow.
A fabulous, multi-headed daffodil for forcing and bringing perfume and flounce into the home during winter, the bulbs of ‘Erlicheer’ are best planted shallow in pots or bowls, before storing in a cold, dark space for 12 weeks prior to flowering.
Each bulb will produce 2-3 stems of up to 10 ruffled flowers on each.
After you have enjoyed a bountiful indoor display, the bulbs may be planted in the garden during October and flower the following spring.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
