Fritillaria Imperialis William Rex
M5385
Description
Stately and distinguished, Fritillaria Imperialis William Rex features dark, bronzy-red flowers which exude an air of regal sophistication. Rich, deep-hued blooms create a dramatic contrast against lush green foliage, adding an element of elegance and depth to the garden.
The sturdy stems and robust growth of Fritillaria Imperialis William Rex ensure it stands tall and proud, making this a magnificent focal point. Gardeners will appreciate the timeless beauty and commanding presence of this variety, which infuses landscapes with a sense of majesty and grandeur.
Care Guide
Failing to flower after the first year is due to a lack of potash fertiliser, which is necessary for spurring bloom formation for the following year’s flowering.
Plant large bulbs 15 cm deep and small bulbs 8 cm deep, in well-drained soil.
Plant bulbs on their side to prevent water getting into the hollow crown.

Yellowstone
H2860
Hyacinth ‘Yellow Stone,’ produces pretty, ruffled spikes of frilled lemon-yellow flowers which bloom in exuberance and emit a rich perfume.
Recipient of a prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the RHS.
These specially prepared bulbs have been treated in order to flower at, or around Christmastime, bringing a touch of spring indoors when the weather is still chilly outside.
Despatched in September, the bulbs should be planted in bowls or containers of bulb compost, with a third of the bulb still visible, and placed in a dark, cold room for 12-14 weeks. Expect flowers in 2-3 weeks once the containers are brought out into a bright, warm room.
These spectacular Hyacinths can also be forced in water by placing each prepared bulb in the top of a hyacinth vase, with the base sitting above, but not touching water level. Roots will rapidly form, sensing the water source below. Store and treat in the same way as potted bubs as above.
de Jager's top quality, top size Hyacinth Yellow Stone bulbs really make a huge difference in terms of flowering.
