Ranunculus Pink
M6682
Description
With their soft, cushiony blooms, Ranunculus ‘Pink’ resemble giant, pillowy marshmallows. The bowl-shaped flowers are packed with plump layers of petals with daintily quilled edges. Each unassuming corm can produce up to 6 blooms for a breath-taking display. With all the plush splendour of peonies and roses, Ranunculus have the bonus of instant impact in the first season.
Gracing your borders and containers with pastel serenity, ranunculus ‘Pink’ flaunts lacy foliage, strong stems, and sizeable flower heads. This endearing variety makes an exceptionally long-lasting cut flower, with neat, rounded buds unfurling expansively in the vase for over a week.
Care Guide
Best planted under glass or in a polytunnel in autumn, for overwintering and blooming the following spring. Can also be started off outdoors in spring.
Soak the spider-like tubers in water for several hours prior to planting. Plant tubers 7-10 cm deep, spaced 15 cm apart into well-drained, fertile soil.
For container grown plants, a mix of good quality multi-purpose compost and grit is ideal. Provide consistent watering, ensuring soil remains moderately damp at all times. Ranunculus are susceptible to mildew if they are allowed to dry out, or rot if they are kept too wet.
Grow in a position in full sun and feed with high-potash fertiliser weekly when buds start to appear. Pick regularly as wonderful cut flowers.
