Scilla Mischtschenkoana
M5826
Description
Scilla Mischtschenkoana dazzles with delicate light blue flowers, each petal adorned with darker stripes, creating a striking contrast. Early bloomers bring a touch of elegance to gardens, flourishing in clusters which capture the eye. Ideal for naturalising, they spread gracefully, enhancing both sunlit and shaded areas.
Their subtle beauty and intricate detailing make them perfect for rock gardens, woodland areas, and borders, offering a refined and understated charm.
Care Guide
Scilla are very effective for edging the front of a border with a pretty blue and white trim, and for planting in clusters in rockeries.
The bulbs are easy to naturalise in humus-rich, moist soil and can be left undisturbed for years.
Plant Scilla bulbs 5-10cm deep in well-drained, rich soil, spaced 7-15cm apart. Ensure the pointed end faces upward.
Dainty stems topped with delicate, star-shaped flowers appear during March and April, putting on an enchanting spring display.
