Multiflowering Tulip ‘Sunshine Club’ produces glowing golden-yellow blooms lightly kissed with red, creating a bright and joyful display through May. With several flowers carried on each stem, the cheerful blooms of tulip ‘Sunshine Club’ appear like tiny suns rising above borders, containers, and spring planting schemes.
Full of warmth and energy, this uplifting variety brings colour and movement to every corner of the garden. Perfect for gardeners who grow for happiness as much as beauty, it delivers a vibrant late-spring display that is impossible not to enjoy.
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
