Description

Rays of sunshine ruffles radiate from Split Corona Narcissi ‘Gold Disc’. Like gilded treasure glinting in the light, these striking golden flowers are sure to attract attention. This ‘split corona’ variety enhances the uplifting joy of the classic yellow daffodil with an eye-catching open centre.

Narcissus ‘Gold Disc’ exhibits whorls of finely pleated layers, shining with dazzling brilliance in containers, borders, and in drifts amongst lawns. The sturdy stems and fancy blooms make excellent cut flowers to fill vases around the house, bringing brightness indoors even on a grey day.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.

A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.

Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.

Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.

Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
