Rubra Maxima's hardy nature ensures it thrives, providing gardeners with a reliable source of bold, stunning colour. This Crown Imperial's dramatic presence transforms gardens into a place of charismatic beauty.
Care Guide
Failing to flower after the first year is due to a lack of potash fertiliser, which is necessary for spurring bloom formation for the following year’s flowering.
Plant large bulbs 15cm (6”) deep and small bulbs 8cm (3”) deep, in well-drained soil.
Plant bulbs on their side to prevent water getting into the hollow crown.
